project brief

The Vanissa Building is a striking mixed-use development located in Bangkok’s central business district. Inspired by the concept of Yin and Yang, the project features two interconnected towers:

Tower A – 12 storeys

Tower B – 22 storeys

Together, they deliver high-quality office, retail, and leisure spaces, including a swimming pool and gym facilities. With a distinctive glass façade, maintaining surface quality during construction was essential.

Vanissa Building Bangkok

The Challenge of Protecting a High-Performance Glass Façade

The building's exterior is clad in a high-performance glass curtain wall, featuring diagonal design elements that enhance its architectural identity.

During construction, this façade was exposed to risks such as:

  • Scratches from installation and site activity
  • Dust and debris contamination
  • Paint and material overspray

Protecting the integrity of this complex façade was critical to preserving the building's visual impact.

The Solution: Spray-Applied Temporary Curtain Wall Protection

To protect the glazing, Protectapeel temporary protective coating was applied directly to the curtain wall using spray equipment.

This spray-on, peelable coating formed a skin-tight protective film that:

  • Maintained strong adhesion throughout the build
  • Protected against scratches, dirt, and site contamination
  • Allowed construction to proceed without delays

Its reliability made it ideal for a design-led project like the Vanissa Building.

the result

The use of Protectapeel delivered key benefits:

  • Full protection of the glass curtain wall façade
  • No loss of adhesion during construction
  • Reduced risk of damage and costly rework
  • Maintained progress with no delays to the build programme
